Life Path Number Calculator
Enter your date of birth to find your life path number, the most important number in Pythagorean numerology. We also show the Indian Mulank and Bhagyank numbers. The calculation runs in your browser.
How each number is calculated
- Life path: reduce the month, day and year separately (keeping 11, 22 and 33), add the three results and reduce again.
- Mulank: add the digits of the day of birth until one digit remains.
- Bhagyank: add every digit of the full date of birth until one digit remains.
For example, someone born on 14 July 1990 has a Mulank of 5 (1 + 4). Their Western life path reduces the month (7), the day (1 + 4 = 5) and the year (1 + 9 + 9 + 0 = 19, then 10, then 1) separately, which gives 7 + 5 + 1 = 13, and 13 reduces to 4. See the master numbers guide for why 11, 22 and 33 are treated differently.
Frequently asked questions
What is a life path number?
In Western numerology, the life path number is calculated from your full date of birth. The month, day and year are reduced separately and then added and reduced again. Master numbers 11, 22 and 33 are kept.
What are Mulank and Bhagyank?
In Indian numerology, Mulank (birth number) is the day of birth reduced to a single digit, and Bhagyank (destiny number) is the sum of all digits of the full date of birth reduced to a single digit.
Why do the Western and Indian numbers differ?
They use different rules: the Western method keeps master numbers and reduces month, day and year separately; the Indian method reduces everything to 1 to 9.
